Thomas, as is believed, did not believe anything without seeing it before. What about miracles? Well, he believed in them only he witnessed. His companions wanted to change him, Jesus wanted to teach him, but apparently there was no remedy for Thomas. He had the character of one who learns only searching, questioning, discovering; the mind of one who is only satisfied with the truth.
According to tradition, Thomas founded the first Christian church in India, where he died on his knees while praying to Jesus. The author, the renowned Dr. Oswald Smith, shows vividly the extraordinary experiences that this disciple of Christ could have lived.
The mind of a child is like a bank —what is deposited in there is back in ten years, with interest. —Dr. Frederic Wertham
